Welcome to the Sunshine State! The second annual Eastbound Getdown presented by Stingray Chevrolet took place on the storied grounds of “Destination Daytona” from January 13-15, 2023. This is the exact location that hosts the famous Daytona Bike Week, which draws hundreds of thousands of motorcycle enthusiasts each year.
Nowadays, you don’t need much convincing to drag someone to Florida because everyone’s moving there. But what happens when you mix beaches, great weather, and a huge custom show? You get one unforgettable memory! Nearly 600 participants across the United States, Mexico, and Canada, made the trek to enjoy some good old-fashioned Florida sunshine.
While there is a plethora of things to do in Florida, there are also an enormous number of awesome rides. When we entered the show on Saturday morning, we were immersed in a diverse automotive culture. The Eastbound Getdown event brought a wide variety of machines, food trucks and other entertainment for everyone to enjoy.
In just its second year, the show has nearly doubled in size and has gained tremendous attention from enthusiasts and content creators. For 2023, Stingray Chevrolet (Plant City, Florida) came on board as the presenting sponsor, while Lowrider Depot and Accuair were co-title sponsors of the event. The Eastbound Getdown brought out everything from classic cars like an original 1963 Corvette split window, bikes, low riders, mini trucks, lifted trucks, and much more.
To prove that car audio is not dead, a massive space away from the show was dedicated to those car audio enthusiasts and bass heads! There were also plenty of food and product vendors on hand, too. In all, it was a great event that was well put together. The hype for next year’s event is already growing and it’s undoubtedly one not to miss!
