Robbie Bryant of Keg Media has made a career out of his passion for custom autos and the automotive lifestyle that comes from it. He’s also the mastermind behind the Summer Truckin Nationals event held at the famed AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX, on July 15 to 17th. It was a huge undertaking and a massive show and we expected nothing less from Robbie and his team. We had a few moments to catch up with him between all his events and SEMA prep, and here’s what he had to say about it all!

I would have to say the most rewarding thing about producing a show of this caliber was knowing that we pulled off an event of this magnitude at AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys. Summer Truckin Nationals was the first time the stadium had ever played host to a truck show, and by the time we had finished setting up, it looked like a mini outdoor SEMA Show. The quality of the trucks and vendors that we had in attendance was amazing.

The most challenging part is constantly dealing with last-minute things thrown at us. Besides permits, we had to provide stamped engineered drawings for all truss setups and any tent 20×20 or larger. We found this out less than a week before showtime, so it was a scramble to finish everything on time. Also, dealing with the Texas heat was a battle in itself. 106 degrees, which felt as if it was 123 degrees!

The biggest highlight was all the amazing vendors and sponsors we had at the 2022 Summer Truckin Nationals and how great they looked with their booths. It literally looked like a mini SEMA, and the venue was like nothing you ever see at a truck show. It was all super high-end and super clean. Another big highlight was the Saturday Night Concert with Baily Zimmerman, Chase Matthew, Sean Stemaly and David J. They definitely got the crowd going!

The budget we put into this event and the marketing really set this show apart. I throw a lot of events, but this one, in its first year, was produced like it was the biggest show in the country. The number of quality trucks, vendors and people were astonishing.

We’re working on what to do next. I’m unsure if we will make this a traveling show or keep the location. Stay tuned, though, for more updates throughout the year!
