Jeep already knows there is interest in a Wrangler pickup, with so many customizers taking on the task and chopoping a JK themselves to make their own. Well, an actual pickup will be comoing soon and there's spy shots (thanks toBrian Williams, SpiedBilde)! The 2019 Jeep Scrambler pickup was spotted testing on public roads. As you can see, it features a the cab of a four-door Wrangler with an extended bed. Like the Wrangler, the pickup will adopt more aluminum panels to save weight, while still allowing for good hauling and off-road capabilities. The 3.6L Pentastar V6 and an eight-speed automatic are likely to be the mainstream powertrain, but a hybrid will be added later. A diesel is a question mark at this point. Jeep is rumored to pick the historical name Scrambler for the pickup. Expect to see it later this year, with an on-sale date in early 2019. But we're sure many enthusiasts and customizers have big plans for the upcoming pickup and we can't wait to showcase them!
