“I wanted to build a Jeep that catches people’s attention both on and off the road,” he explains. “It’s the best of both worlds. My Jeep can hold its own at a show when it’s cleaned and detailed. It’s actually been a feature vehicle twice at the SEMA Show, a resident showroom Jeep for a month at 4 Wheel Parts in Redondo Beach and a booth vehicle at several local shows in Southern California.”

But it wasn’t enough for it just to be a show queen as he needed the Jeep to be able to get him to remote vantage points all over the Southwest. “It needed to tackle anything nature throws at it since I’m a zealous landscape photographer that spends a lot of time outdoors with my camera.” Thus, Silver Panda was born, named after its silver and black color scheme that came about in 2016. According to Roman, no one was really using the textured vinyl back then and he loved it so much that he decided to keep it once the build was finally completed.

Although he’s a huge fan of the iconic Toyota 4Runner, he went with a Jeep Wrangler after his previous 4Runner had to be retired after putting more than 400K miles on it. “The Jeep Wrangler fits the bill and is probably the King of the Hill when it comes to American off-road culture. Additionally, the aftermarket support for the Jeep Wrangler platform is unmatched by any in the lifted light truck/SUV category. The Wrangler can be modded in more than 1 million different ways,” he details.
